What a great place. We were early for our Stonehenge visit and desperate for breakfast so called in at this lovely town. You are in for a treat at Friar Tucks. The decor is that of an American diner, if it was in a cave. The service is excellent, friendly and swift. The menu is on the traditional British side - no avo toast here. The coffee is excellent. We are from New Zealand - home of the coffee obsessed and we’ve had rubbish espresso all over the south west, until we got here. We went for double shots and considering the generous size of the cups, it’s a good move. You won’t regret a pop in at Friar Tucks.
The staff gave the 6 of us a very warm welcome on arrival with our dogs. The menu had lots of choice and the service was swift. The food was delicious with plenty of it.Thank you so much. It was just what we all needed and we will be highly recommending The Friar Tuck Cafe widely, particularly to friends and family walking around the Stonehenge area with dogs. Thank you.
Walked past this diner when I was walking to the Stonehenge tour and decided to give it a try on my way back. And it didn’t disappoint! The atmosphere was very 60/70’s vibes and the restaurant is one of 5 still open in England! This one has been open since 1963 fun fact. The breakfast food was quickly prepared and served and also tasted good. No pancakes tho lol but nonetheless was enjoyable.
The meal was absolutely incredible, I loved the jacket potato, and the bacon was the most amazing bacon I've ever had. They have a good menu with great prices & amazing coffee!
On our way to Stonehenge I took my parents to try the English Breakfast there, and it was the best choice ever! There is a good range of options for your English breakfast. My mom had the veggie one and my dad the biggest ever, and they both loved it! Me and my husband had the Rolls Royce, which was also delicious. The service provided from girls is spotless and the atmosphere is also lovely! Highly recommend it! Thank you!!
Staff was very kind and the food was amazing!
I’ve not been to the Friar Tuck Cafe in Amesbury for a few years but with the new dogs allowed policy I will be returning very soon! The food is a perfect cafe menu with many fabulous all day breakfast options. You always know it’s a decent cafe when all the OAP locals are in there! The service is fast and the staff are very friendly and welcoming.
This little gem of a cafe was a fantastic blast from the past! The staff were super friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious. Also, if you want a proper, builders brew mug of tea, those is most definitely the place to come!!!!
